How Can severe Cough Along With Conjunctivitis Be Treated?

Hi
I am struggling with a cough and flu like symptoms for the past week. About 2 weeks ago I woke up and my eye looked almost like I had contacted pink eye on top of everything else. It was gone within 2 days so I never went in. Now this morning it is back again...even worse. And I feel as though my chest is getting heavier. Should I wait it out or go in??
